Postnatal Depression

Depression can make you feel stuck, low, unmotivated, isolated and disconnected. Becuase we cant see it-it also can feel difficult to understand and we can feel helpless and out of control.

I help you to understand what is going on from a somatic (body) and nervous system point of view.

Depresssion is a state of under arousal within the nervous system. It is our system shutting down following high levels of stress.

This increase in stress in the system can be caused during pregnancy or birth and plays out postnatally.

Sleep deprivation, reduced time alone to think and hormonal changes add to this experieince. 

I help you to:

  • Carve out 2-3 minutes a day to practice regualtion techniques
  • Get better quality of sleep-which helps healing and processsing of stressful events
  • Improve conenction with self and others
  • Increase energy
  • Feel happy
  • Feel alive again

I do this through nervous system education, trauma informed yoga and breathwork and Motherhood and Matrescence coaching.
