Post Natal Anxiety

Having a baby is a huge life changing event. We are learning a new skill on little sleep and sometimes with little support. We have also been mothering through a global pandemic over the past few years which all increases the level of stress in our system.

You may find ourself feeling anxious about the health of your baby, leaving your baby or life in general!

You may find yourself over thinking, qustioning things and trying to control aspects of your life to the opint that its an issue for you-which can feel exhausting. 

  • Here is how we can reduce our felt experience of anxiety and heal our NS:
  • Nervous system education
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Increase awareness of your bodies signs of stress 
  • Set healthy boundaries 
  • Give yourself time to heal

Seeking support from a councillor or psychologist is also helpful in understanding our experiences from a cognitive perspective. I am happy to recommend those who i think highly of should you like some cognitive support.

  • We all have the capacity to heal. 
  • We all have the capacity to feel safe, happy and well.
  • We all are worthy and deserving of this 🙏
